Good Morning Detox Diet Divas....
In the first entry of our spring cleaning series we discussed cleaning cupboards.
Now, if you started this process then bravo! I applaud you because it truly can
bring up some stuff. Several years ago when I embarked on this path it was
a mix of tremendous excitement and huge sadness. You see I really loved
some of those things I was told to get rid of.
And truly, I'm not here to shame you if you didn't start the process.
I hope you believe that -- I absolutely realize it's not always diving in and cleaning
out potentially beloved items in the cupboards.
However, this is were it all begins and so if you haven't started...I urge you to go one shelf at a time!
Just One. The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.
Now, if you're ready to move on ... we'll continue with
:
Phase 2: letting go of dairy products.
And remember you can do this quickly or slowly. Whatever feels right to you.
If you're into the gradual elimination then you'll want to consider what to give up slowly.
Perhaps starting with milk, or ice cream,
or cheese.
However, if you're ready to move quickly that's fantastic. Just let it all go...
What are some good alternatives?.... Well, I adore almond milk. The non sweetened kind from Blue Diamond.
You can usually find it in your local health food store. In Austin, even the traditional grocery stores carry it.
Or, try non-sweetened soy milk. That's a good option too...
